As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to provide individuals with various disabilities the opportunity to experience the freedom and therapeutic benefits of scuba diving. We strive to empower individuals of all abilities to explore the underwater world through our adaptive scuba diving programs.
Adaptive Scuba Knoxville is a leader in the East Tennessee Region for removing barriers for qualified individuals with physical and mental disabilities, enabling them to discover the mobility and joy of scuba diving. Our inclusive and supportive community aims to create memorable experiences that promote self-confidence, independence, and connection to the natural underwater world. By fostering a culture of accessibility, safety, and education, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers and promoting diversity in the sport of scuba diving.
Adaptive Scuba Knoxville consist of a team of specially trained scuba instructors, assistants, and dive buddies who are able to custom tailor the traditional Scuba program to fit the individual needs and requirements of our participants.
Utilizing the Scuba Schools International (SSI) Classified Scuba Diving program and operated through Ski/Scuba Center, we provide people with various disabilities the adaptive support, education, and specialized training necessary to scuba dive with assistance from a Classified Dive Buddy or Classified Dive Professional.
